100 eHow Article Challenge – Week 1 Review
At the beginning of August, I had originally set goals that included writing 100 articles for InfoBarrel and HubPages. Six days into that challenge, I have changed my mind. For now, I will just say that this goal is something that I want to accomplish one day, I just cannot commit to completing it now.
As such, I have decided to join Passive Family Income in his 100 article eHow Challenge. He is off to a great start; completing 25 article during the first week AND making a few bucks already. Nice job my friend! You can read about his results HERE.
Changing my mind has put me a bit behind if I truly want to complete this challenge. So far in August, I have completely only 5 new articles, leaving 95 to complete in 22 days. In order to complete this challenge, I need to publish 4 articles per day during the week, and 5 or 6 articles on Saturdays and Sundays.
I think I am going to steal PFI’s writing process and try to batch my workload. What this means is that I am going to do my research, find 20 or so decent keyword phrases then sit down and write then one after the other until I run out of keywords. I will let you know how this goes as time passes.
Week #1 Results
- Articles Published – 5
- Article Views – 35
- Income Earned – $0.00
As you can see, I am off to a roaring start! I seriously suck at this stuff. I honestly do not know why I even bother. I guess I just keep pounding away hoping that I figure some one it out as I go. Making money on the internet is simply a numbers game, and I know this. I just wish my numbers would go up a bit!

The month is still young, but maybe rather than getting overwhelmed, you should lower your target. Or, just extend it a couple of weeks, to make it more reachable. There’s nothing wrong with adjusting; you’ve already done this by switching your emphasis from Hub to eHow.

Aw I understand how easy it is to get discouraged. I do feel a bit like that with Hubpages, though thankfully I do see them getting more traffic and clicks now. I do believe that you won’t truly see the effects until you have a large batch of articles published and they age for a bit. Good luck completing your challenge!
