Chasing the Bull

For the past few months, I have been using Entrecard as a way to generate traffic to this blog. Each day I spend approximately an hour dropping my card on the various blogs that I read. In December, I plan on only dropping cards on those people that have dropped on me. I am going to use the time that I normally spent dropping to create new articles here and on eHow.

The bounce rate generated from Entrecard is extremely high. People tend to drop and run; spending about 10 seconds doing so. As such, I want to try and generate more organic traffic by producing quality content on a daily basis. The focus on this blog is reducing debt and I am sure my time can be spent more efficiently in other areas.

In November, I did receive a lot of traffic via Entrecard. Here are the top droppers for November. This will probably be the last time I post my monthly “Top Droppers”.

I have been using Entrecard for a while now; never really using any credits. I actually sold 15,000 or so on eBay to help pay off some debt. Recently though, I have been letting them accumulate unused and unloved.

Now that I have finally caught up at work, and at home, I find myself having more time to blog. That being said, it is pretty sad to be blogging to myself if no one is reading this. As a result, I decided to use all of my credits to , hopefully, get a few people interested in my blog.

Unfortunately I was using the standard (i.e. boring) default images from EntreCard. Hank referred me to an awesome designer. I think he has designed images for Can I Get Rich on a Salary and FrugalDad.
