eHow Earnings Update – Passive Income April (2009)
Writing articles on eHow produces one of my most steady streams of passive income. After a few months, my earnings shot up to around $50 to $75 a month. Unfortunately, they have been hovering around the same amount for the past few months.
April Updates
During the month of April, my eHow earnings actually decreased by 29%. I must admit this is rather shocking to me and underscores my complete ignorance on determining just how eHow calculates our earnings. I only published 3 articles in April and did not post anything in the forums. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. In May, I plan on writing 10 to 15 articles, and posting a few comments, to see if it makes any difference.
Here is a breakdown of my eHow earnings so far this year:
April
- 3 articles published
- $61.55
March
- 7 articles published
- $79.48
February
- 6 articles published
- $48.96
January
- 18 articles published
- $50.79
Total Earnings
- 34 articles published
- $254.62
So as you can see, my earnings are relatively flat. Besides the one good month in March, my earnings are approximately $50 a month. I originally had a goal of writing one article per day during 2009, but I obviously not been too good at sticking to that one. A more realistic goal is to write 10 articles a month for the rest of the year and see where that takes me. 10 articles a month until 2010, would add 80 new articles, bringing my total to 185.
Perhaps that amount would get me to $100 a month.
So how did you do in April? Did you learn anything new?
